Challenge
Over the past 20 years the incidence of pancreatic cancer in Australia has increased by 23%. The survival rates for this disease are devastating, 87% of those diagnosed are dead within 5 years, 64% die in less than 12 months of being told ‘you have pancreatic cancer’.
The chance of surviving the disease increases for those diagnosed early; so, increasing public awareness of the seemingly benign early symptoms of Pancreatic cancer was a fundamental objective of this campaign. *
